Anthony’s take
Writer Review
Take Profit Trader stands out in the competitive prop trading landscape with its trader-centric approach and transparent operational model.
Strengths
- Points System
- They offer a rewards system that lets traders earn points for key milestones like passing an evaluation, hitting payout levels, or adding new accounts. These points can be redeemed for valuable perks such as free test resets, complimentary accounts, and even a PRO account.
- Supported Platforms
- Supporting 15+ trading platforms gives traders unprecedented flexibility to use their preferred tools and strategies. The integration with major platforms like TradingView, NinjaTrader, and specialized tools like BookMap shows technical sophistication and trader focus.
- Payout Rules
- Unlike many competitors requiring minimum trading days or payout windows, Take Profit Trader allows withdrawals from the first profitable day on PRO accounts (once you reach the “buffer zone”).
- Payout Options
- Unlike other prop firms, Take Profit Trader doesn’t have a minimum or maximum withdrawal limit. You can request any amount above the buffer zone. Technically, you can request up to 50% inside the buffer zone but it is not recommended.
- Scaling Plans
- You get the same amount of contract limits in the Evaluation phase and the Funded Accounts. This is nice so you don’t have to adjust your trading style once you pass the challenge.

Areas of Concern
- Challenge Fees
- The monthly evaluation fee can become expensive for traders who take longer to pass challenges. But, they do offer discounts and sometimes promotions where they waive the activation fee which makes it more competitive in pricing.
- Account Options
- You get the option of trading between $25k-$150k accounts. Some traders will be disappointed to see that they don’t offer $200k-$300k accounts. They also don’t offer straight to sim-funded options which has been a popular feature with other prop firms.
- Drawdown Modes
- The switch from end-of-day trailing drawdown in evaluation to intraday trailing in PRO accounts creates a more restrictive environment for funded traders, which may catch some traders off-guard after passing their evaluation.
- News Rule
- Not only does the drawdown mode change when you move from evaluation account to funded account, but they have restrictions to trading around News events in their Pro account. I wish they would keep things the same between Eval and Pro.
- Customer Support
- I have mixed reviews when it comes to the TPT customer support. One time emailed them asking a question about my subscription renewal. I have yet to receive a response. But, I also tried their live Chat window on their website and was able to speak to a person within 5 minutes.
- Risk Settings
- One feature I like to use with other prop firms is to configure my Risk Settings within Tradovate to set my daily profit and daily loss limit. This prevents me from overtrading. But, I noticed I can’t do that for some reason withTake Profit Trader.

FinSeeds Verdict
8.7/10
Take Profit Trader delivers on its promise of trader-friendly payout policies. The combination of flexible platform support, simplified rules, and fast payouts creates an attractive proposition for serious futures traders. While the upfront evaluation fees may concern some traders, the day-one withdrawal capability and no restrictions on minimum and maximum payouts demonstrate genuine commitment to trader success.
The firm’s regulatory compliance, established track record since 2021, and coverage in major financial publications provide additional credibility. However, prospective traders should carefully understand the transition from evaluation to PRO account rules, particularly the shift to intraday trailing drawdown.
Best For
- Experienced futures traders seeking less stringent payout rules
- Traders comfortable with higher monthly evaluation fees
- Traders requiring access to specific platform integrations
Consider Alternatives If
- You prefer instant funding options over evaluation challenges
- You need larger account sizes beyond $150K
- You prefer static drawdown over trailing drawdown systems
